Planning application submitted

The brief was to create two new dwellings nestled in-between 74 and 76 St Mary’s Road. The two units occupy the garden of number 74 and are comprised of one 3 bedroom house and a 1 bedroom house. Number 74 retained some of it’s garden and provided outdoor spaces for both new units. The larger of the houses is to be owned and occupied by the Client so conversations on the layout of the space and how it related to the garden were of high importance.

The design links the fully rendered number 74 and the split materials of number 76. It also reflects the brick built nature of the surrounding context, something the Client was keen to represent.
